This is the ‘work on progress’ log for a Nitto Gustav kit I did back in 2005, as part of a group build organized by Fichtenfoo’s forum. It’s the first time I ventured into this genre, and was a welcome break from Gundams. Not familiar with the background of this genre, I decided to add in my own twist to this kit by making it a ‘SWAT’ version. I started out by adding some details to the gun arm. I separated the main arm portion and inserted some kotobukiya parts in between to make it look like the barrels of the weapon. I also added some parts to the front to make the view finder and also the tip of the barrel. |

Next up, I added some pla-plate sheets onto the surface to create some detailing or additional armour / shielding on the weapon. |

The original model was not very poseable,
so I decided to do away with all the joints and make it a fixed
pose model. The elbow joint was fixed in place with epoxy putty,
and the details for the ‘insulating’ material were re-sculpted
on. |
