Bandai 1/72 scale VF-25 Macross Frontier

Very small little update. More on the drilling of rivets. Here’s how the arms looks like tucked underneath in plane mode.

Next, I re-scribed some of the panels. This step is not exactly necessary, but I prefer doing it anyways. I’ve mentioned before in my other WIPs, that I prefer to ink the panel lines before painting. And the technical pen ink I’m using is water based, and thus doesn’t stick on the plastic surface very well. Re-scribing the lines and making the grooves deeper helps the ink remain in the lines when I rub off the excess. The section on the left has been re-scribed. Both sections were inked, and rubbed off. The re-scribed section shows much better.

Start drilling…

Completed panel, and test fit…

Here’s how it would look like in gerwalk mode. Long way to go…

Another small update on the VF-25F. More re-scribing done on the kit.

Also did some re-scribing on the leg section and added in some rivets.

I skipped the center section of the plane and started working on the nose instead

Here’s how the entire thing looks right now. And I haven’t even started on the bottom! Really long way to go…….
